Aleppo Now and the Future of Armenians in Syria

Keith Watenpaugh, Historian of Modern Middle East at the University of California at Davis, talks about the current situation in Syria and specifically the dilemmas facing Armenians in Aleppo. There are now 200,000 documented internally displaced people in Aleppo, and if the situation continues, there may be greater out-migration of Armenians from Syria. Watenpaugh speaks about these challenges and the need for the Republic of Armenia to play a neutral role and serve as a safe haven for Armenians worldwide.
