Yerevan’s public transportation system consists of hundreds of vans with specified routes. Today, Yerevan Municipal election day, more than a dozen of these vans are parked on Nairi Zaryan Street, not part of their route, and waiting for ‘instructions for where to go.’ In the past, public and private transport has been used to move large numbers of ‘voters’ from one area to another, to vote where and when needed.
