French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs will soon launch a number of initiatives on Nagorno-Karabakh, according to Reuters.

The OSCE Minsk Group - co-chaired by France, Russia, and the US - is tasked with spearheading a peaceful solution to the Karabakh conflict.

Macron announced the news during a summit of European Union leaders in Brussels on October 1.

The French Presidents added that during the summit the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh was discussed.

"I have briefed the members of the Council of Europe on the joint statement of the three OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, the United States, Russia and France, on the initiatives we expect to take to actively mediate between Armenia and Azerbaijan," he said.
