After almost a week of tension and clashes along the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, two more contract soldiers were killed today at about 5:00 p.m.
Marat Khachanyan and Arman Stepanyan of the Armenian Armed Forces died during military operations in Nagorno Karabakh.
According to a press briefing issued by the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army, the incident occurred as the soldiers were responding to an Azerbaijani operation.
Ceasefire violations have escalated since August 31 along the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border resulting in a number of casualties, injured and property damage to residents living in border villages in the Tavush marz.
