Two Armenian Soldiers Shot Dead

Contract servicemen Andranik Yeghoyan, 26 and Boris Gasparyan, 22 were killed today by Azerbaijani sniper fire near one of the bases of the Armenian Armed Forces in the marz of Ararat along the southwestern portion of the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border.

Details of the incident are being investigated by the Armenian Armed Forces. In a press release, the Defense Ministry said that they are in control of the situation on the frontline and are implementing adequate measures. Army spokesperson Artsrun Hovhanessyan told CivilNet that they will be releasing an official statement surrounding the event.
