Kesab Armenians: Uncertain Future | Քեսապցի հայեր. անորոշ ապագա

After 40 days in Vakif, Turkey, 18 Kesab Armenians were flown to Beirut via Istanbul; another six continue to remain in Vakif until their travel documents are finalized. Whether this will be their final destination or not is unclear. After the attack by Syrian rebel forces on the historic town of Kesab, these nearly two dozen elderly Armenians were not able to escape to Latakia with the rest of the residents of Kesab, and were taken to Turkey. These photos were taken the day they arrived in Beirut.
