Last known Karabakh residents move to Armenia

  • Eleven residents of Nagorno-Karabakh who remained in the region after Azerbaijan’s September 2023 offensive have moved to Armenia. It is likely that no Armenians remain in Karabakh today.

Concerns are linked to persistent gender pay gap, lack of access to trade unions for self-employed workers, and a prohibition on strikes for employees in a wide range of public services.
