Major opposition figure charged with high treason

  • Armenia has charged former lawmaker Andranik Tevanyan with high treason and espionage. He is running in next month’s parliamentary elections with the opposition Prosperous Armenia party.

  • The Russian agricultural watchdog said it has concerns about supplies of Armenian fruit and vegetables coming into the Russian market. This follows a temporary restriction by Moscow on flower imports from Armenia.
