Building Armenia’s national youth basketball team

Yerevan is hosting the FIBA U16 EuroBasket tournament for the first time. Armenia U16 Head Coach Nareg Kopooshian, also an assistant coach of the senior national team and head coach at the A.G.B.U. Manoogian-Demirdjian School in Los Angeles, joins the CivilNet podcast to discuss the challenges of building a squad drawn from across Armenia and the diaspora, as well as pursuing the team's goals on the international stage. 

The tournament runs from July 4-12, 2026. To support Armenia in person, you can attend the games free of charge at the Sports Management Center, located at 41 Manandyan Street, Yerevan.
