The Story of Three Italians in Gyumri | La storia di tre italiani a Gyumri

The stories of Italians Massimiliano “Max” Floriani Antonio Montalto, and Marzio converge in Gyumri, Armenia’s second largest city.

Max, together with his wife Mariam, has restored a neoclassical style house, typical of old Gyumri, to an Italian-Armenian bed and breakfast.

Antonio, who is Italy’s Honorary Consul to Armenia and founder of the Family Care Foundation, has set up a ceramics workshop and restoration activities in Gyumri’s historic center.

Marzio, on the other hand, trains the employees of the Zakaryan company to make denim. What they share in their experiences is above all their affection for Gyumri, a city full of challenges, but one that has welcomed them for years.
