CivilNet provides the public with news, analysis, investigative, and solutions journalism to increase transparency and improve democracy and human rights in Armenia. We promote dialogue in society, contribute to regional peace, and empower people to shape their future.
We aim to build trust by delivering contextualized and rigorous journalism and improve transparency and accountability in governance.

Impartiality
We serve the public interest. Our journalists present the truth, avoiding selective presentation. We allow (acknowledge the right ofփոխան allowի) individuals to address claims made about them.
Independence and Transparency
No political, economic, financial, or donor pressures affect our reporting. Our editorial policy is available to the public. By being open about our funding, we protect our editorial freedom.
Trust
We are convinced that a lack of trust in general and especially a lack of trust in the media are at the root of our society’s problems. We strive to build trust between ourselves and our audience, as well as with the general public.
Accuracy
We strive for accuracy. We correct mistakes promptly. We combat fake news through fact-checking.

We provide diverse perspectives while upholding our values.
We promote equality in decision-making and aim for gender balance in media activities. We ensure inclusion and reject discrimination. We use respectful language and avoid stereotypes.

In a rapidly changing environment and evolving digital space, innovation is an important value for us. We regularly strive to stay in touch with changing audience preferences, evolving technologies, and new ways, formats, and methods of presenting stories.
