Before the war, 73 year-old Garnik Sahakyan used to work at the Aygepar airport. Once, Yaks used to fly to Yerevan and Baku from here. When the war started, the flights came to a halt. Like the other men in the village, Sahakyan started to carry a weapon. Sahakyan’s house is the last one in Aygepar. Azerbaijanis live just a few hundred meters away.
