Partner content

On average, women stay out of the labor market for about a decade due to childcare responsibilities, according to Tigran Gasparyan, head of the Center for Demographic Research and Education at Yerevan State University.

To aid women’s return to the labor market, the center implemented a program with support from the United Nations Population Fund. The results were submitted to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs as a successful pilot model, which will serve as a basis for developing state policy.
