WineList | Making bold wines in a garage

WineList is a joint project by CivilNet and Incheve, dedicated to Armenian wine, winemakers, and the wine culture in Armenia.

The series aims to meet the people at the heart of Armenia’s new winemaking revival. We visit their vineyards and wineries, and tell the stories behind their methods, ideas, and journeys.

In the first episode, we meet Tatev Khachatryan, founder and winemaker of BOLD Wines.

Tatev talks about the idea of garage winemaking, small-scale production, and experimentation. We also talk about Armenian karases, sparkling wines, hands-on winemaking, and the challenges of her first vintage.
