Ahead of its 25th anniversary, PROFAL, a leading Armenian manufacturer of aluminum doors and windows, has launched the region’s largest architectural glass processing plant. Founded 25 years ago by three friends, the company is now setting new benchmarks for quality in Armenia and beyond. With an investment of over $20 million, the project marks a strategic milestone in PROFAL’s development, aimed at expanding its production capacity and increasing export volumes.
The facility’s official opening ceremony was attended by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, members of the Government, representatives of diplomatic missions, and PROFAL’s Armenian and international partners. The Prime Minister toured the new facility, familiarizing with its technological capabilities, production capacity, and the company’s expansion plans.

Equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, the new plant is expected to increase PROFAL’s production capacity approximately fivefold, enabling the company to serve not only the most complex and large-scale projects in Armenia but also international markets. PROFAL’s products and services are already available in the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and other countries.
“Our international operations have long extended beyond simply exporting products. Today, PROFAL is involved in some of the most demanding private-sector projects worldwide, as well as construction and reconstruction projects for major public-sector facilities of significant importance. Examples include school buildings and naval facilities in France, as well as a hurricane-resistant residential complex in Florida, USA,” said Edgar Avetisyan, CEO of PROFAL.

PROFAL’s architectural glass processing plant was built from the ground up in accordance with high European and American standards. Investment in this phase of the project exceeds $20 million, while total investment in the integrated production complex is expected to surpass $30 million over the next two years.
According to Gevorg Papoyan, Armenia’s Minister of Economy, the launch marks an important milestone not only for PROFAL but also for the development of the country’s industrial sector.

“Expanding domestic production, manufacturing higher value-added products, and increasing both the volume and geographical reach of exports are among the key priorities of our economic policy. PROFAL’s new plant is one of the initiatives directly contributing to these objectives,” Papoyan said. He added that the project is an excellent example of effective cooperation between the public and private sectors. The Armenian Government has allocated more than AMD 227 million to subsidize interest payments on equipment acquired by PROFAL through leasing arrangements.
Another important step toward strengthening the competitiveness of Armenian-made products and promoting exports is the Armenian Government’s support for PROFAL’s European exports. Under this initiative, from October 2026 through 2028, PROFAL’s European partners will be exempt from customs duties on products imported from the company.
During the plant’s opening ceremony, PROFAL signed cooperation agreements with French and British partners. In particular, Edgar Avetisyan, CEO of PROFAL, and Paul Magnanville, founder of the French company SAS TERRITOIRE, signed a cooperation agreement worth €30 million. Avetisyan also signed an agreement with Jimmy Koutso, founder of Aluvista Systems, under which PROFAL will supply 20,000 square meters of doors and windows.

“To be honest, I am very impressed. I have not seen a plant of this scale even in France. Everything is brand-new and equipped with modern machinery,” said Paul Magnanville.
The PROFAL industrial complex covers a total area of 120,000 square meters, of which 17,000 square meters are allocated to glass production and warehousing. Over the next two years, the total production area is expected to reach 40,000 square meters. PROFAL aims to consolidate all its manufacturing operations at this site, creating a single, integrated, state-of-the-art production complex that will become the largest industrial plant built in the history of independent Armenia.

The plant’s launch has already created 75 new jobs, with a further 100 positions planned in the next phase. Once these positions are filled, PROFAL’s total workforce is expected to exceed 600 employees.
