What Armenia Needs to Do Now: Daron Açemoglu’s Advice

Daron Açemoglu, world renowned economist and author of “Why Nations Fail” speaks about the necessity of institutional change in Armenia and how to fully overcome the remnants of the kleptocratic system. Açemoglu spoke during the “Armenia Tomorrow: Citizen Diplomacy at Work” program organized by the University of Southern California Institute of Armenian Studies. The program took place on Sunday, May 20 and included Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Armen Sarkissian, as well as academics and scholars from around the world. The event took place at USC’s Bovard Auditorium.
