ՍիվիլՆեթը մի շարք վստահելի աղբյուրներից հաստատել է, որ Գէորգ Ճուրեանը` Բաբգէն և Նուարդ Ճուրեանների որդին, սպանվել է սիրիական զինյալ ընդդիմադիր խմբերի անդամների կողմից՝ մարտի 21-ի հարձակումից հետո Քեսապում մնացած հայերի մոտ զենքեր փնտրելու ժամանակ: Նույն աղբյուրների համաձայն` սպանությունը կատարվել է Քեսապում, երբ հիմնականում տարեցներից բաղկացած խումբը տարհանվում էր դեպի Թուրքիայի Վաքըֆ գյուղ:
Քեսապի վրա հարձակվելու հետևանքով ավելի քան 600 հայ ընտանիք տեղահանվել է: Բոլորն այժմ գտնվում են ապահով վայրերում, բացի 10 անհատներից, որ դեռևս կորածների ցանկում են: 23-ամյա Գէորգ Ճուրեանը նրանցից մեկն էր: Նրա ծնողները, հորեղբայրները և մեծ մայրը 21 հոգուց բաղկացած խմբի հետ տեղափոխվել են Վաքըֆ գյուղ:
Վաքըֆի համայնքի ներկայացուցիչները դիմել են Թուրքիայի իշխանություններին, որ վերջիններս աշխատանքներ ձեռնարկեն հայտնաբերելու և ազատելու այն հայերին, որոնք հավանաբար գտնվում են նույն սիրիական զինյալ ընդդիմադիր խմբերի մոտ:
CivilNet has learned, from several reliable sources, that Kevork Jourian, son of Babken and Nvard Jourian, was killed by members of Syrian rebel groups, as they were searching for guns among the Armenians who remained behind after the March 21 attack on Kesab. Sources explained that this happened in Kesab as the group of mostly elderly were being evacuated to Vakifli.
The attack on Kesab has resulted in the displacement of more than 600 families. All have been accounted for except 10 individuals who remain missing, one of whom was the 23-year-old Kevork Jourian. His parents, uncles and grandmother are in the group of 21 taken to Vakifli, Turkey.
The Vakifli community representatives have appealed to the Turkish authorities to undertake efforts to identify and liberate the remaining missing, believe to be in the custody of the same Syrian rebel groups.
