Stories of torture and silent crimes in Azerbaijan

In her book Sadistic Pleasures, Silent Crimes of Azerbaijan, freelance journalist Ashkhen Arakelyan writes in details about the psychological and physical torture inflicted on Armenian captives in Azerbaijan. 

For months, Arakelyan met with 14 prisoners of war, soldiers, civilians, women and men, young and old, who told her the stories of their captivity in Azerbaijani prisons before, during and after the 2020 Karabakh War.
