Armenia’s economic successes and failures

Noubar Afeyan, co-founder of the ARMENIA 2041 Foundation, sat down with Vache Gabrielyan, the Dean of the College of Business and Economics at the American University of Armenia, to discuss the impact of the Soviet Union’s collapse on Armenia. Gabrielyan, who previously served as Deputy Prime Minister, also talks about his own past in academia, Armenia’s place in the global economy, and the successes and failures that have defined Armenia’s economic policy since independence.
