Russia ‘considering’ organizing fresh Armenia-Azerbaijan talks

  • Moscow is “considering” organizing talks with the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia on Thursday in Kyrgyzstan.
  • Russia reaffirmed its plans to open a consulate in Syunik, Armenia’s strategically important southernmost region.
  • Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said any new conflict in the region would be France’s fault.
  • Aliyev said Azerbaijan is ready to begin talks with Armenia “instantly” if they are mediated by Georgia.
  • There have been no reports of Armenian citizens killed or wounded in the war in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories.
