Karabakh conflict has not affected Armenia’s credit rating, Fitch says: THIS WEEK IN BUSINESS

  • The credit rating agency Fitch declined to lower Armenia’s sovereign credit rating following Azerbaijan’s lightning offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh last month.
  • ‘The Armenian economy’s growth rates will remain high until the end of the year,’ the Eurasian Development Bank forecast in its latest regional macroeconomic report.
  • Armenia has approached Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates with a proposal to invest in a planned industrial park and special economic zone in the city of Gyumri.
