Armenia’s European champions inspiring a new generation of athletes

19-year-old weightlifter Alexandra Grigoryan achieved a huge victory at the European Championship in February with a lift of 196 kg. Now, she's gearing up for the World Championship later this year. Meanwhile, freestyle wrestler Arman Andreasyan, competing in the 70 kg category, secured Armenia's first gold medal at the European Wrestling Championship. This triumph holds special significance for Arman, who dedicated his victory to his brother, Taron Andreasyan, a soldier who lost his life in the 44-day war. Arman's sights are now set on the upcoming World Championship.
