Turkey praises Pashinyan’s “very important steps” but implies conditions remain

Armenia’s anti-corruption court has ordered the arrest of opposition candidate David Ghazinyan and the lifting of parliamentary immunity from former President Robert Kocharyan, enabling new criminal cases against the senior opposition figures. 

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Ankara is ready to normalize relations with Yerevan, but further progress remains stalled by unspecified "necessary conditions," an apparent nod to Azerbaijan's demand for Armenia to revoke claims to Nagorno-Karabakh in its constitution.
