Armenian Wine Week seeks to win over the world

Armenia has one of the oldest winemaking traditions in the world, dating back more than 6,000 years, yet its wines remain relatively unknown abroad.

A new initiative, Armenian Wine Week, runs from November 8 to 14 and asks Armenians worldwide to introduce Armenian wines to their non-Armenian friends.

Vahe Baloulian, who started the initiative, joins CivilNet to discuss the campaign, the challenges facing Armenia's wine industry, and its potential to reach new international markets. Baloulian is a co-founder of In Vino wine bar, the Club restaurant and Cultural Center, and Trinity Canyon Vineyards.
