The last several days has seen unprecedented coverage of the Armenian Genocide by leading media organizations from around the world.

The Holy Mass for the faithful of the Armenian Rite led by His Holiness Pope Francis in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, where the pontiff said that the slaughter of the Armenians by Ottoman Turkey was the first genocide of the 20th century set off a media frenzy.

This was preceded by the visit of Kim Kardashian and her family to Armenia to discover her ancestral homeland. During their visit, the Kardashian sisters met with Armenia's Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, they visited historic and cultural sites and also went to the Genocide Memorial in Yerevan to lay flowers in memory of the 1.5 million victims of the Armenia Genocide of 1915.

On their last night in the country, Kim Kardashian's rapper husband Kanye West put on a surprise performance in the capital for thousands of cheering fans.
