Gyumri’s tourist influx and construction boom

Gyumri, Armenia’s second largest city, is recently seeing a large increase in construction activity. The city’s residents and investors are restoring their houses in the old district, in order to establish guesthouses and eateries. The city’s development hasn’t only gained the attention of Armenians in Yerevan, but also from foreigners and tourists.
