Today’s guest on Mindful Leaders is Tatev Petrossian, an inspiring designer, entrepreneur, and a visionary. Born to Armenian parents and raised in France, Tatev’s deep ancestral connection to the regions of Mush, Sasun, Van, and Yegheknadzor has shapedf her life journey. After working in financial and strategy management, Tatev founded Revolve Consulting, a company centred on design thinking and the circular economy. However, the war in Artsakh triggered a powerful transformation in her life. Confronting pain and loss, she found strength and channelled her emotions into a driving force for change. This shift led her to design with a deeper, purpose-driven focus. In 2022, Tatev and her sister Emma founded Atelier79, a French-Armenian fine jewellery studio that challenges traditional norms by infusing each unique piece with rich stories. This episode delves into Tatev’s passion for creativity and innovation. We discuss how she has used her entrepreneurial journey to create design spaces encouraging mindfulness, meaning, and compassion. Through her work, Tatev reminds us that despite life’s challenges, we always have the choice to pursue endeavours with purpose, vision, and consciousness.
About Tatev Petrossian
Tatev Petrossian is the co-founder of Atelier79, a French-Armenian fine jewellery studio. Born in Yerevan, Petrossian grew up in Nice and moved to Paris to study at the Grande Ecole of INSEEC. She then started her career in private equity investment, working on the Caucasian portfolio of an alternative assets fund based in Paris. Tatev navigated through various positions to become a consultant and advisor to different businesses in London and Moscow. She completed her second Master’s degree at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in Moscow. In 2018, Petrossian returned to Armenia and founded Revolve Consulting, a firm committed to raising awareness of alternative business models, notably design thinking and the circular economy. In 2021, Petrossian took a leap of faith and started Atelier79 with her sister Emma – a fine jewellery studio. This new entrepreneurial path combined her years of experience in strategy and design thinking with the world of fine jewellery design. Driven by her passion for fine jewellery and her purpose to set a new standard for what French-Armenian fusion can represent, she leads Atelier79 as the head designer of both the brand’s collections and the bespoke co-design studio service.
