Armenia’s Amulsar gold mine begins operation after years of delay

Armenia has begun operations at the controversial Amulsar gold mine after years of delays caused by environmental concerns and financing problems.

Armenia’s ride-hailing market has been disrupted by outages at Yandex Taxi following Ukrainian strikes on the Russian tech company’s data centers.

Vassilis Maragos, the European Union’s ambassador to Armenia, urged Armenian businesses to make full use of the bloc’s two-year tariff waiver in Armenian products, but warned that duty-free access alone would not guarantee success.
