CivilnetLondon-based freelance press photographer Edmond Terakopian searches for the soul in the images he captures with his camera. His photographs evoke both tragedy and joy. In 2006 he was named "Photographer of the Year" in the British Press Awards and picked up third place in the spot news category of the prestigious World Press Photo for a photograph he had taken after the 2005 London bombings.Recently, he has forayed into filmmaking and his first short film, "Muse" won an award for Best Film Editing in 2009. His new short film about the Electric Coffee Company was nominated for the Viewers Choice Category for the Taste Awards. Terakopian spoke with CivilNet about his career and passion for telling stories through images.
