The Armenian Genocide and the New York Times

The atrocities being carried out against the Armenian nation by the Ottoman Empire during World War I received wide coverage by the international media. The New York Times, in 1915 alone, ran 145 articles about the mass slaughter of the Armenians, which culminated into the first Genocide of the 20th Century. The paper had also published reports about the Hamidian Massacres of 1894-1896 and the Adana Massacre of 1909.
