Armenia sends new aid package to Syria

  • Armenia will send $125,000 in additional humanitarian aid to Syria. While the amount is modest, the move is notable given Syria's current leadership under Turkish-backed Islamist groups.
  • Armenia has received an invitation to take part in the 3rd Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Games, set to be held in Azerbaijan.  Yerevan is still undecided whether it will send its athletes.
  • Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan said negotiations with Azerbaijan continue and are not stuck in a deadlock.
