Abu Dhabi hosts Pashinyan-Aliyev peace talks

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is set to hold talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on July 10 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The news was confirmed by the press office of the Armenian government.
"On July 10, as part of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, a bilateral meeting will take place in Abu Dhabi between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev," the official statement reads.
It is noted that the Armenian Prime Minister will depart for the UAE on Wednesday for a working visit. On the same day, Pashinyan is scheduled to meet with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
On the eve of the meeting, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed hope for a swift conclusion of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
At the beginning of July, Middle East Eye reported that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev were planning to meet in the UAE later this month.
