Thousands flee from Karabakh to Armenia as region reels after Azerbaijan’s deadly attack

  • Arrivals to Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh approached 20,000 Tuesday, as thousands of displaced people continued to flood into the country following Azerbaijan’s deadly attack last week.
  • A powerful explosion at a fuel depot outside of Stepanakert Monday evening that left at least dozens dead and hundreds injured has only compounded the misery.
  • “To say the situation is grim in Stepanaէkert would be an understatement,” said CivilNet reporter Hayk Ghazaryan, who remains on the ground in Nagorno-Karabakh.
