U.S.-brokered Abraham Accords could include Armenia and Azerbaijan

  • Armenia’s Foreign Ministry did not rule out joining regional peace efforts like the Abraham Accords, following remarks from a U.S. representative that Armenia and Azerbaijan might join. 
  • Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with EU official Kaja Kallas to reaffirm democratic ties and discuss regional peace amid criticism of recent EU-Azerbaijan diplomacy.
  • An employee of the Armenian National Archive has been charged with spying for Azerbaijan. Defenders say staff have an obligation to respond to requests for unclassified historical documents, including from Baku.
