Strengthening linguistics studies to better protect the Armenian language

Pollet Samvelian is a Professor of Linguistics at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, France. Samvelian‘s research includes the syntax, morphology and lexicon of Iranian languages. On the sidelines of this year’s Armenian Society of Fellows conference in Dilijan, Armenia, Samvelian discusses what studying linguistics actually means and its importance in the modern era, as well as how the field can be used to better catalogue and protect the Armenian language.
