Special Report: Ceasefire Interrupted

A Karabakh Defense Army Mi-24 helicopter was shot down near the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact on November 12 by Azerbaijan, killing the three Armenian pilots on board. OSCE Minsk Group's and ICRC's efforts to return the bodies of the pilots, as provided by International Humanitarian Law, were obstructed by Azerbaijan. Armenian armed forces were unable to recover the bodies of the crew as they were coming under intense Azerbaijani gunfire.This is a special report about the shooting down of the helicopter and a special military operation that was able to retrieve the bodies.
